Niraj lived in Belfast for 18 years, was raised by Indian parents and has lived in England for 20 years.

After having his first feature optioned at 19, Niraj wrote sitcoms for Gareth Edwards (Spaced, Goodness Gracious Me) BabyCow and Pett Productions.

His hilarious multi-cultural comedy, My Sister's Wedding has interest from producers.

Niraj is a seasoned children's writer, having worked many years for CBBC and Channel 5's Milkshake shows like The StoryMakers and Hana's Helpline and was hired to rewrite projects such Anglia's TV drama Stanley and Me.
