Our Writers
Mike Haskins — semi-professional lingerie model, official stunt double for the Secretary of State for Communities and Local Government, masseur by royal appointment to the Queen’s corgis and the leading erotic dancer of his generation. None of these things have quite worked out for him so he now devotes his time to writing books, scripts, gags and begging letters.
He began his comedy writing career as a script associate on Hale and Pace and has gone on to write for Steve Punt and Hugh Dennis, Steve Coogan, Simon Pegg, Milton Jones, Alistair McGowan, Smack The Pony, David Mitchell and Robert Webb, Monkey Dust and many others.
He has authored a wide range of humour titles including the hugely popular joke collection Man Walks Into A Bar. Other publications include A Bear Called Euston, Drugs: A User’s Guide, The Wrinklies’ Bedside Companion, We’re All Doomed! and When In Rome: An Alternative Guide For World Travellers.
He has worked for many years with Griff Rhys Jones on shows including Smith and Jones, The Griff Rhys Jones Show, The One Griff Rhys Jones, Rivers, the topical sit com The Cradleys, A Brief History Of Everything Else and It’ll Be Alright On The Night.
